I worked with Bob in DCT. We had many pleasant lunches together to discuss our classes. I always thought of Bob as just a super nice person. I feel like I know his family because we always talked about our families and how important they were to us, I know Bob will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
Sincerely,
Bob Hodge

To the Sleppy family, please accept my deepest sympathy. Mr Sleppy taught me music for three years at Pinellas Park Jr High. He was one of the best and the most memorable teachers I ever had and made quite an impression on my young life. He was fun and his passion for teaching his love for music was always evident even to a child age 11 to 14. I remember the day he came in and told us that his wife had their baby in the back seat of their Volkswagen Beetle! Yes, memories of Mr Sleppy will stay with me and he will certainly be missed but beautiful music has been added to heaven with Mr. Sleppy at the piano :-

I am saddened to hear of Mr. Sleppyâ??s passing. Mr. Sleppy was my music teacher at Pinellas Park Junior High School. One of my favorite classroom memories of him was the day he beamed recalling the birth of his new baby in the Volkswagen. I can still see his smile. He was so proud!
A shy retiring student, he helped me realize I had a talent and encouraged me to use it. Because of his encouragement, I went on to earn a living singing for many years before becoming a teacher myself. I often tell my students about my favorite teacher, Robert B. Sleppy and the impact he had on my life. His calm demeanor and ability to build confidence in his students was a true gift, one of many that he possessed.
Know that your husband and fatherâ??s legacy lives on in you and all of the lives he has touched.
Deepest Sympathy,
Nancy Pimpinelli Ellington

My condolence to the entire Sleppy family. What a marvelous musician he was! Although my name will not be familiar to you, I am a snowbird to PCC since 2001,after our retirement. We included my Mother who played piano by ear and loved watching his hands as they flew melodiously over the keyboard. I am now alone too, having lost Bill in 2003 and Mother in 2009, so I know your pain and just want you to know I am offering prayers of love and support for those of you who are hurting so, but must celebrate such a beautiful individual. I was heartsick, upon my arrival in Dec. and he wasn't at the keyboard. I did see him at the Christmas concert dedicated to him. So, my tears and pain flow with you, but God's love and promises will sustain you as your broken heart begins to heal, but only with time. My Christian love and prayers are with you all.
Sincerely,
Phyllis Joseph

To Cheryl and the Sleppy family, my prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. The bible tells us that they that sorrow will be comforted. Know that Jesus is able to keep you through all things, even death. I know it will be hard and he will be missed, but "Absent from the body, present with the Lord". What a great place to be?

Mr. Sleppy was my DCT teacher for 11th and 12th grade in 1983 and 1984 at Largo High. I had transferred to Largo High from Countryside High and had no friends. His class was a blessing for me. Although I knew I was going to college I also wanted to get experience in the work field and make some money. Mr. Sleppy's class was a chance for me to meet with other students and share our experiences from the real world of work. Mr. Sleppy was always so calm and welcoming in the classroom. I am now a middle school guidance counselor and used to teach. I take alot of Mr. Sleppy's care that he gave me into my own work at my school. God Bless him and he will continue to live in all the students he touched.
All my prayers and God Bless,
Amy O'Halloran Foshee

Dear Family of Bob esp. Marian,
I was sad to hear of Bob's earthly passing, but so happy for him now that he is in the company of the Lord and exalting Him with his piano stylings! Please know that I particularily will miss his dry sense of humor and impish smile - that is how I'll always remember him in addition to his fantastic piano talent, of course!
Please know that all of you are in our prayers,
