Obituary of Clarence I. Schaefer

Schaefer, Clarence Irving "Clancy" 77, of Seminole, FL, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at Bay Pines VA Health Care System, Bay Pines, FL. Born in McMillan, MI, he moved to Florida in 2005 from Battle Creek. He graduated from Newbury High School. He was a United States Coast Guard veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid reader, exerciser and Nascar fan. He like to puder around the house, go to the Hard Rock casino from time to time and spending time with friends while visiting Michigan. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Rose Schaefer. Clarence is survived by his loving wife: Lee Anne Schaefer nee Odenwald, Seminole, FL; son: Kurt Kim Schaefer, Gig Harbor, WA; daughter: Kathy Amy Schaefer, East Lancing, MI; 2 grandchildren; brother: Bob Schaefer, McMillan, MI and sister: Myrtle Robinson, Rochester, NY. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
