Obituary of Dolores C Franks

Dolores Franks was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 27, 1927. She was married to Chester Franks at age nineteen and birthed and raised four children Dennis, Roxanne, Ricky, and Kathy. Dolores loved living in Michigan and its cooler weather but she moved down to Florida in 1982 to be closer to her family. She was a Grandma to fourteen Grandchildren and a Great Grandma to thirteen Great Grandchildren. Dolores always spoke her mind but she had a kind heart. She enjoyed being around the ones she loved and listening to their laughter. She was always there for her family when they needed a listening ear. Dolores loved writing letters and would often send letters and cards to loved ones. She loved sending crisp dollar bills. She was an animal lover and enjoyed the little things in life, like a cool morning breeze, a morning cup of coffee, soap operas, pictures of family, little powder donuts, cute stickers, colored pens, chicken wings, lipstick, plastic shopping bags, a good pair of shoes…..Dolores will be missed deeply by the ones she loved. Her homemade chicken noodle soup and potato salad; her laughter and bright smile; her strength and ability to rise above obstacles. There is no one else quite like Dolores and she cannot be replaced. Memories of good times will fill our hearts always. Dolores died at age 83 on the morning of December 10, 2010. She will be missed.
