In Florida Elaine followed her interest in writing with memberships in PINAWOR, a local writers’ club and the Pinellas Novelists Critique Club.

Two ancestors who served in the Continental Army qualified Elaine for Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. Because of her maternal ancestors born in Scotland she was also proud to be a member of the Clan Donnachaidh Society of Florida.
