Obituary of Kenneth A Koza

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Anthony Koza, who left this world on September 2, 2023 at the age of 71. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in his Seminole, FL home. Born on May 23, 1952 and from Hegewisch Chicago, IL, Kenneth was the beloved husband of Deborah Koza and caring father of Kevin Koza. He touched the lives of many with his kindhearted, compassionate and neighborly personality, and brought joy to everyone he met. In his leisure, he enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, motorcycling, handyman work, and most importantly, socializing & spending quality time with his friends and family. Ken was a proud union member, frequent election volunteer, and a member of Knights of Columbus. In his retirement years, he enjoyed being involved at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church as an usher, being the HOA treasurer in his neighborhood community, and fixing up his house in Seminole, FL. He will be remembered as a deeply loving, caring & kind father, friend, mentor and role model. A truly great person all around. Kenneth Koza is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Deborah Koza (Mlcoch), of 50 years, son Kevin (Michelle) Koza, granddaughter Olivia Koza, sister Diane Barnas and brother Timothy (Marylin) Koza, who will continue to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his mother, Victoria, and father, Frank Koza. A memorial service to honor Kenneth Koza’s life will be held at a later time with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to American Cancer Society in memory of Kenneth Koza. Kenneth Koza’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
