Eileen Kimball Gutzman Low

Obituary of Eileen Pearl Will Kimball Gutzman Low

Kimball Gutzman Low, Eileen Pearl Will, age 95, died on September 10, 2021 from complications resulting from COVID 19 breakthrough infection. Eileen was born on June 7, 1926, in New Leipzig, ND. The first daughter of G. R. and Freida Will, Eileen lived an idyllic family life with her sister Carol Joy and many other relatives. Eileen attended Macalester College and married her high school sweetheart, Arthur William “Bill” Kimball.

Bill and Eileen relocated to Florida with their three children in 1958. They were charter members of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Seminole.

Eileen had an illustrious 28 year career with the Pinellas County school system serving as a teacher, counselor, and dean of women students. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Florida in 1964. In 1974 Eileen was inducted into the Beta Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an international honorary society for key women teachers.

In 1979, Eileen’s life changed dramatically upon the death of her husband Bill. Sometime later Eileen met and married Dr. Wayne Gutzman from South Dakota in 1984. Eileen’s life was joyously expanded via her “second family” of Wayne’s children, Susan, Kathie, Howard, Ellengray, and Carl, all with families of their own. Eileen and Wayne divided their time between Florida and South Dakota. They traveled in the U.S. and to several foreign countries. After an extended illness, Wayne died in 1995.

In the next chapter of her life, Eileen met and married Jimmie Low in 2000. Eileen was blessed with a “third family” of three children, Bud, Annette, and Becky, along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren. Ball room dancing and more exotic travel were part of Eileen’s new life with Jimmie. They enjoyed several years at Orange Blossom Lake and then took up full time residence at Freedom Square where Jimmie died in 2018.

Eileen was a woman of great faith and her life and actions reflected her love of the Father and Christian principles.

Eileen is survived by son Brian, his wife Jeanne, and their children Geoffrey Kimball and Jennifer Weinberg (husband Troy, and sons Ethan, Owen, and Aaron); daughter Mari Poe and husband Jeffrey, daughter Julie Brooks (husband J Brooks deceased 2016) and her daughters Stacy MacMichael (husband Chris and daughters Molly and Mia) and Lindsey Lescrinier (husband Andre and son Lucas) and her sister, Carol Joy Ferguson. Eileen is also survived by a host of Gutzman and Low family members. Brian, Mari, and Julie are sincerely grateful for the love shown to Eileen by her extended family and friends.

A private family service will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Reese Funeral Home, Seminole, FL. Memorial donations may be made to Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 10891 102nd Ave N, Seminole, FL 33778.
