Obituary of Kerima Preston

                                              Obituary for Kerima Preston

January 5, 1931 – July 17, 2021

Kerima Preston was so many things to so many people, it’s hard to know where to begin.

She was a musician who mastered the piano and was also continually learning new instruments - such as the violin, the harp, the guitar, the zither, the banjo, and the dulcimer just to name a few.

As an artist, she was always painting, sketching, and creating her famous Christmas snowball ornaments. (I’m sure most of you have several). She loved miniatures and had a very large collection.

She sang in community musicals as well as the church choir. (Sometimes she even sang in places uninvited.)

She touched many lives with her love, creativity, kindness and generosity. She liked to give little gifts to everyone and was always thinking of others.

She was even in the Civil Air Patrol in her youth, and was learning to fly airplanes. She earned half her Wing before she and her family had to move.

Of all her many talents, the greatest was that of being an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all!

She will be missed by all who knew her.

May she Rest In Peace.

Her funeral service will be Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11am at E. James Reese Funeral Home.
