Obituary of Betty Jean Smithers

Smithers, Betty Jean  "Jean", 85, of Seminole, passed away on November 2nd at Largo Medical Center surrounded by her family.  Born in Columbus, Ohio, she later relocated to Seminole, Florida with her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Ethel Hartman, and husband William Smithers.  Jean is survived by brother Hayward Hartman, son Steven Sheehy, daughter Kathryn Smithers, grandchildren Misty Waits, Jennifer Ake, and Steven Sheehy, and great grandchildren Austin, Jordan, and Maegan Waits.  Jean was a fun-loving, kind-hearted, and loving individual.  Her wisdom was great, laughter infectious, and humor immense, she was loved by all and touched many lives.  Jean loved music, dancing, singing Karaoke, and lots of crafts.  Her beautiful smile and loving spirit will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
